Kayla and Darnell completed their internship with Negwer Materials and Negwer Door Systems at the end of July.
They spent two weeks working in seven different work environments and were asked to pick two areas they wanted to focus on.
Kayla spent the last 3 weeks in dispatch. Darnell worked in the door department.
Along with those great experiences, Kayla and Darnell had some coaching in personal finance, resume building, and social media. They also attended an evening event sponsored by USGBC where there was a business reception and tour of the newly built Maplewood Firehouse – a LEED Silver Building.
At the end of their internships, they received performance reviews and got a chance to polish their interview skills.
