Jobsite Tour: R&R Marketplace

Seniors in the Construction cluster at North Technical High School went on their second field trip yesterday to Refuge & Restoration NPO’s R&R Marketplace project in Dellwood brought to life by Pastors Ken Jenkins & Beverly Jenkins. Shout out to the Brinkmann Constructors team for helping to coordinate this experience for the students to meet with several of the MBE/WBE contractors working on the project and learn more about their companies and potential hiring opportunities after they graduate in May! Earth Day: Community Service

Every Spring, CCDI plans a service project for our students to participate in as a way to engage and give back to the communities we help serve. This year, our project landed on Earth Day… and what better way to celebrate than by planting trees! CCDI students, alumni and volunteers teamed up to plant 10 trees and 40 shrubs at Delmar DivINe! Many of our students had the opportunity to tour this awesome project as it was being renovated and several of our program alumni were tradesmen and women who actually worked on this building. Construction Academy: April 2023

Thank you to ARCO/Murray for hosting a Saturday Academy session this past weekend at the Topgolf Midtown project! Our CCDI students had the opportunity to learn about ARCO/Murray from Mr. Jeff Schnoebelen, Project Manager and Mr. Ty Kent, GSP, Safety Supervisor, as well as the various subcontractors who are working on this awesome project. After the presentation, the students geared up to go on a tour of the site to see the progress and learn all about the unique design and build. This experience allowed students to view our work firsthand and learn more about careers in the construction industry. Thank you to Keeley Companies for hosting a Saturday Academy session this weekend at the #OliveCrossings project! Our CCDI students had the opportunity to learn about the Keeley’n culture and career opportunities from Mr. Brian Peter, Vice President of Building and Mr. Brian Pate, Superintendent. After the presentation, the students geared up in PPE and got an in-depth tour of the project where they learned more about the subcontracting companies on the job and saw first hand how tradespeople all have to work together to get these awesome projects built safely! Annual Bowling Night

The Skye on 6th team is spreading holiday cheer! Huge shout out to the Clayco Phoenix office and subcontracting partners who recently raised close to $5,000 to make this a Christmas to remember for our students at Phoenix Union Bioscience High School. Last Thursday, the CCDI students came to visit Skye on 6th for their monthly tour, project update and lunch on site. At the end of their visit, the team surprised each student with a $250 gift card for Christmas which definitely made their spirits a little brighter!!
