CCDI Summer Job Fair

Thank you to Breckenridge Materials, Villa Lighting, Negwer Materials, Drilling Service, Frost Electric, K&K Supply, Fred M Luth & Sons and Butler Supply for participating in our CCDI Summer Job Fair! The Event was held at Clayco on April 10, and included students who attend North County Tech and Roosevelt High School. We are excited about introducing these students into the construction industry!

Mentee Graduation

CCDI Mentee PVT. Christopher Conners (Apprentice Scholar Carpenter with Concrete Strategies) graduated from Ft. Leonard Wood. Chris will continue to serve in the Army National Guard requiring him to serve one weekend a month and 2 weeks a year. Family and friends attended the graduation along with Chris's mentor, Tom Sieckhaus.

School Visit

CCDI mentors Dan Lester and Rick Moeckel visited with CCDI mentee Darius Wherry at Missouri Western State University for the Engineering Awards Banquet. Darius is doing well, making good grades and connecting with other engineering students. It was inspiring to hear the acceptance speeches of the award winners.

March Construction Academy

In March, the CCDI Construction Academy students learned about CRG and how urban planning and real estate development fit into the construction process from CRG’s VP Terry Barnes. Students then were able to experience what it might be like to be an operating engineer with the operator’s simulation rig provided by Scott Crean with ERB Equipment. Dr. Chaun Robinson went over soft skills with the students and how important non-verbal communication is in professional environments.
