Congratulations go out to 2020 CCDI and North Technical graduate, Tyler Doss, who was recently hired at R & S Tower Services. CCDI awarded Tyler a tool scholarship to set him up for success as he starts his new career next week. With the help of Patrick Hanneken, we had the opportunity to meet Tyler at The Home Depot today to pick out his first set of tools! We recently had the opportunity to visit one of our 2020 Build Our Future scholarship recipients, Rashad Johnson, who is working for Clayco as a Project Engineer Intern on site at the Delmar Divine project in St. Louis, Missouri. Rashad is currently studying to be a Civil Engineer in the UMSL/Wash U Joint Engineering program, while managing to work two jobs and actively participating in the CCDI program! CCDI has opened our annual Build Our Future Scholarship application and actively looking for 2021 candidates to apply and potentially join our 25 past BOF recipients! This scholarship is awarded to top-qualifying high school seniors in North St. Louis county and St. Louis City who exhibit a desire to study and pursue employment in the construction industry through the fields of engineering, architecture, construction/project management and career technical programs. Meet Rashaad Smith! CCDI was introduced to Rashaad by his St. Louis Job Corps instructor prior to his graduation in early January. We knew from the moment we met Rashaad that he was a perfect fit for our program and quickly got to work on finding opportunities for him in the electrical pathway.
