CCDI held our second Construction Academy session on September 29th. In this session, student learning was centered around the Clayco Trait of the Month, “Leadership.” The attending students heard from guest speakers Jimmy Kisner, Terrance Gant, and Malik Johnson, who are Clayco laborers, as they discussed the career pathway to becoming a laborer and how leadership is modeled in this trade. Clayco’s Director of IT and Infrastructure, Jesse Sanders, talked about servant leadership and how Clayco is leading the industry in the field of IT. Student’s ended this session with a visit from Clayco’s CEO Bob Clark. Mr. Clark spoke to the students about his story, leadership, and Clayco’s commitment to the communities we serve.
