Ryan is progressing well at his new job with PM Leach! Every foreman he has worked with only has good things to say about him. He has been on multiple projects since joining the PM Leach team, and he is currently working on a project called Wellbridge TI which is a Clayco jobsite in Clayton, Missouri.

Kayla and Darnell completed their internship with Negwer Materials and Negwer Door Systems at the end of July. They spent two weeks working in seven different work environments and were asked to pick two areas they wanted to focus on. Kayla spent the last 3 weeks in dispatch. Darnell worked in the door department. Along with those great experiences, Kayla and Darnell had some coaching in personal finance, resume building, and social media. They also attended an evening event sponsored by USGBC where there was a business reception and tour of the newly built Maplewood Firehouse – a LEED Silver

Our Build Our Future scholarship recipients Kyah Donald and Trenton Kwasa attended the National Society of Black Engineers (NSBE) St. Louis Gateway Professionals Annual Scholars and Awards Banquet.

Scott Negwer and the staff from Negwer Materials celebrated CCDI's summer interns, Darnell Jamison and Kayla Merrill with a last day luncheon! Darnell and Kayla got to experience many different facets of Negwer's business during their summer internship. Thank you, Negwer Materials for giving our CCDI scholars this learning opportunity!

New CCDI mentors attended our annual training day. The new mentors were introduced to our MentorMe software, a cloud platform meant to help their mentoring be more impactful, and watched a presentation on how to be a successful mentor.
